Race Waiver

Participant Representations

I am at least 18 years old, in good health, and physically fit to participate. I am not impaired by alcohol or any substance. I am solely responsible for determining my own fitness and for my safety at the event.

Assumption of Risk

Trail running is inherently dangerous. I acknowledge risks including serious injury, permanent disability, paralysis, and death. These risks include falls, contact with other participants or wildlife, adverse weather, poor trail conditions, extreme environments, equipment failure, and other hazards that cannot be foreseen.

These risks may result from my own actions or inactions, or those of others. I voluntarily accept all such risks and full responsibility for any resulting damages, liabilities, losses, or expenses.

Release of Liability

I waive, release, and covenant not to sue Cielo Running, LLC, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, sponsors, venue owners, property owners, permit-granting agencies, and all other organizers or officials associated with the event (the “Released Parties”) for any liability, claim, demand, damage, loss, or expense arising from my participation.

If I or anyone on my behalf makes a claim against any Released Party, I will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless each Released Party from any resulting liabilities.

Medical Authorization

I authorize Cielo Running, LLC to secure emergency medical care or transportation when necessary. I agree to bear all costs of such care.

Media Release

I grant Cielo Running, LLC a license to use my name, likeness, image, photograph, voice, video, and athletic performance to promote the event or the sport of trail running, in any format, without compensation. This does not permit use of my likeness to endorse any product or service without my written consent.

Rules

I will follow all rules and safety regulations for the event. I am solely responsible for my conduct and the condition of my equipment.

Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of King County, Washington. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
